Your Freedom Comes When You Leave Your Fears Behind

This is an introduction blog about me. I am a blonde bubbly music-loving soap opera and figure skating fan who loves traveling and shopping. I live in Minnesota but I desperately yearn to move to another state in the southward direction. I am not afraid to go after what I want in life and seize the moment. I have always fantasized about starting my life over fresh in a new town all by myself and I did it. I moved across the country to West Virginia in 2005 for a while. I also fantasized about driving across country by myself and I did that too. Because of my accomplishments, I know I can do anything I set my mind to and I am capable of doing anything I want and making my dreams come true.

In addition to moving to another state, another one of my dreams is to become a teacher. I have been a teacher assistant in elementary schools the past year and those experiences immediately showed me this is where I belong and where I want to be. So I am going back to college this fall to begin working on my elementary teaching licensure in the Masters of Education program so I can become a teacher in a couple of years. My favorite grades to teach are 3rd and 4th grade.

Since 2005, my life has been all about discovering who I am and what I want in life and about going after what I want without self doubt or fear - to feel free. A phrase that keeps me on track is a lyric from one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite Christian music groups 'Out of the Grey' - "Don't you know your freedom comes when you leave your fears behind." And that is what I have been doing the past 3 years - leaving my fears behind and finding my freedom.
